Authentic Artistry + Modern Ingenuity

Bottega Family in distillery - Bottega Liqueurs

Bottega Liqueurs, produced by Bottega SpA, represent a line of classic Italian liqueurs created with authentic artistry, and a combination of ingenuity, modern techniques, and environmental consciousness. Bottega SpA is owned and operated by the Bottega family, who have cultivated vines in Italy for over 400 years and have practiced the art of distillation for two generations.

In 1977, patriarch Aldo Bottega founded the family distillery, Distilleria Bottega, in the northern Italian region of Veneto. Since 1983, his children, Sandro, Stefano, and Barbara, have led the business, which now produces and distributes premium Italian wines and spirits to a global market.

The family introduced Bottega Liqueurs in 2017. This range of artisanal liqueurs from Veneto includes Pistacchio, Limoncino, Fior di Latte, Gianduia, and Sambuca. Each liqueur uses the finest ingredients sourced from across the country, including the Bottega family’s own best-quality grappa as the base spirit. The liqueurs are presented in elegant, frosted, drop-shaped bottles. These eye-catching vessels are handcrafted by master glassblowers at the family’s glassmaking facility, using traditional techniques developed in Venice in the 1400s.

Since their launch, Bottega Liqueurs have earned impressive acclaim — such as 90+ point ratings from Wine Enthusiast and the Ultimate Spirits Challenge, along with gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and Los Angeles International Spirits Competition.

Bottega Liqueurs can be enjoyed neat, chilled, on the rocks, or as part of a cocktail recipe. No matter how they are served, they bring classic Italian flavor and flair to any occasion.

Made in the Heart of Veneto

Bottega Liqueurs are crafted at the Bottega family’s distillery near Venice in northeast Italy’s Veneto region, known as the birthplace of grappa. The facility is situated in a 19th-century farmhouse, which the family painstakingly restructured to preserve the original architectural characteristics, surrounded by 30 hectares / 75 acres of vineyards. Along with grappa and glassware, the Bottega family have also successfully ventured into several other traditional Venetian industries, including winemaking, wine accessories, mineral water, olive oil, and organic foods.

The Finest Ingredients from Across Italy

Inspired by the picturesque regions of Italy, the Bottega family sources the finest ingredients for Bottega Liqueurs from across the country. For instance, the cream-based liqueurs feature cream exclusively obtained from Alpine milk, while the Limoncino and Pistacchio liqueurs showcase fresh lemons and pistachios, respectively, from Sicily. The Gianduia Bottega has Piedmont’s famous Gianduia chocolate, along with roasted and finely ground hazelnut paste, as its star ingredient. When a base spirit is required, they use the best-quality grappa made at Distilleria Bottega in Veneto, which results in liqueurs that are as smooth and unctuous as they are fragrant.

Eco-Friendly by Design

The Bottega family distilleria was specifically designed to conserve energy and use renewable sources to generate its own energy. In addition, the company has adopted organic farming practices. In the family’s vineyards, the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, GMOs, and derivatives are prohibited. Therefore, Bottega SpA uses only organic fertilizers and the technique of green manure to improve soil fertility.

During distillation, CO2 emission is reduced substantially. Packaging is sustainable in several aspects (glass bottles, paper, cork) and there is a recycling program on the premises — just adding to the many green practices employed during the making of Bottega Liqueurs.

The Bottega Family: Passionate Spirits Connoisseurs

Starting back in 1635, the Bottega family’s ancestors cultivated vines as tenant farmers. Patriarch of the family, Aldo Bottega, worked as the director of a renowned local distillery from the early 1950s, before founding Distilleria Bottega, located in Pianzano di Godega (Treviso), in 1977.

Today, Bottega SpA is a family business run by siblings Sandro, Stefano, and Barbara Bottega. Fast-forward four centuries, Bottega wines and spirits have earned multiple gold medals and 90+ point scores, and can be found in over 150 countries, as well as in high-end hotels, restaurants, duty-free shops, and airlines.
