Darnley's View is named for the union of Mary Queen of Scots and her husband, Lord Darnley, who she first spied through the courtyard window at Wemyss Castle in 1565.

About Darnley's View

2010

From this marriage came a prince who later united the thrones of England and Scotland. We like to think of Darnley’s son - conceived through a union that began at Wemyss - as a symbol of our desire to create a unique gin through a combination of the best of English and Scottish distilling.

Darnley's Castle

Darnley's View is a modern, yet traditionally-styled London Dry gin produced in Scotland. This wheat based, small batch, four-times distilled gin is made in the time honored tradition of redistilling the botanicals with the spirit in a pot still. The botanical mix includes juniper, elderflower, lemon peel, orris root, angleic root, and coriander, resulting in a flavorful gin with a delicate finish.

Darnley's View Spiced Gin, unique to its category, is a 10 botanical gin which icludes juniper, coriander, angelic root, cassia, grains of paradise, ginger, nutmeg, cumin, cinnamon, and clove.
