DescriptionZisola is the product of a partnership between a great Tuscan family with a rich wine heritage, and a land blessed by nature with excellent conditions for winemaking. The Zisola estate is located in southeastern Sicily, the home of Nero d'Avola, just outside of the town of Noto. Here, the historic Mazzei family discovered untapped potential, and pioneered an ambitious project to bring that potential to light. After creating the premier Zisola wine, a beautiful expression of pure Nero d'Avola, the Mazzei family introduced the second wine to come from their Sicilian venture: Zisola Doppiozeta. While maintaining a large percentage of Nero d'Avola, Doppiozeta shows the versatility of the grape by blending it with Syrah and Cabernet Franc. Zisola Doppiozeta is an outstanding wine that truly expresses the qualities of its southeastern Sicilian origin. The name Doppiozeta highlights the core of the Mazzei name. The wine shows that the Mazzei family is indeed dedicated to placing their mark of uncompromised quality on this exciting viticultural region.
