This wine seems broad across the palate, but not quite as deep as some Condrieus. The fruit is understated, resembling gently toasted marshmallow and maybe a touch of baked pineapple, rather than flamboyant apricot and spice. Plan on serving it with fish or chicken rather than something rich or extravagant.

Bright yellow. Aromas of fresh orchard and pit fruits, white flowers and honey carry a smoky mineral overtone. Silky and energetic on the palate, offering lively peach and bitter pear skin flavors that show very good depth and focus. On the lithe side of the Condrieu equation, with zero excess fat. Closes on a repeating mineral note, with very good cling and nervy persistence.

Light, bright yellow. Fresh, floral-accented peach and pear aromas are brightened by notes of green tea and dusty minerals. Juicy and light on its feet, offering bright orchard fruit flavors and a touch of anise. Fleshy but lithe, finishing with very good clarity and a hint of succulent herbs.
Made in a very clean and classy style, the barrel-fermented Condrieu offers textbook white flowers, citrus, and mineral qualities along with a medium-bodied, juicy, and lively palate. Well put together, with an overall balanced, delicious profile that gains steam in the glass, it should be enjoyed over the coming 4-5 years.

This manages to bury the tangy side of the vintage in a core of creamed apple, peach and heather honey notes, all backed by lush butter and pear tartine notes. Forward and ready to go.
