Aromas and flavors of dark fruit, mint and toasted oak. A little too much new wood. But the palate is compelling with a pretty depth of fruit and intensity.

Fine, powerful and balanced with notes of dried flowers, cassis and vanilla.
The 2010 Medalla Real Cabernet Sauvignon is from the Maipo Valley, a telltale example of the place and the variety, with notes of cedar wood, tobacco, blackberries and cassis developing aromas of ashes and flowers, and a medium-bodied palate with the sweetness and brightness of the New World and the austerity of a seriously crafted Cabernet.
A medium-bodied and elegant red, with chocolate and tobacco notes to the ripe flavors of dark fruit, mocha and cola. The supple finish lingers with dried herb nuances.
The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Medalla Real sports notions of pain grille, pencil lead, Asian apices, incense, and black currant. Full-bodied, lengthy, and nicely proportioned...
SMART BUY Very solid for the vintage, with crushed plum, fig and black current fruit woven with maduro tobacco and bittersweet cocoa. There?s a loam edge on the finish, but this stays solidly fleshy through the end.

A profound Cabernet from Santa Rita?s home vineyard in Alto Jahuel. The hue is dark and opaque, while the nose is deep and earthy, but also intensely fruity. Shows fine structure and a lot of black cherry and cassis. The real deal in affordable Chilean higher-end CS; offers a little of everything, from spice to herbs to olive to fine fruit.
Complex vanilla, leaf, mint, spice and young jammy fruit. Fresh and lively, tannins will integrate.
Elegant, sophisticated nose with cedar, cassis and chocolate. Concentrated dark brooding black fruit. Lovely complexity...
Bright aromas and flavors of cherry, spice, and finely ground black pepper; medium to full bodied with a medium finish.
Sports a lot of vanilla toast, but has a good core of raspberry and blackberry fruit behind it, giving way to more vanilla and licorice hints on the finish. Drink now.
Spiced gumdrop and rooty sweetness carry the massive nose to a big but balky palate of baked, roasted black fruits, cassis and tire rubber. There's sweetness, beef, marshmallow and burn along with tannic weight and grab. A lot of power; needs more touch.
The Medalla Real has an attractive bouquet of cedar, earth notes, cassis, and black currant. On the palate the wine is firm with enough structure to improve for 1-2 years. It offers ample spicy red and black fruits, good depth, and a medium-long finish.
