Their origin story centers around Henri Macquart, pioneering founder of the Centre Vinicole de la Champagne, and Nicolas Feuillatte, a dynamic local businessman. Out of their shared passion for Champagne, a daring idea formed: create a new brand of excellence. An upstart that would knit together the tapestry of Champagne’s finest terroirs through an unrivaled network of heritage growers. Empowered by and headquartered at the Vinicole, Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte was officially founded in 1976, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs.

Deeply rooted in Champagne’s heritage grower community, Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte comprises 5,000 member growers across the entire appellation — accounting for one in three growers in the region. The minerality and poise shown in the Réserve Exclusive Extra Brut Premier Cru reflect its origins across the different terroirs of the five Premier Cru zones: south of Côte des Blancs (chalk), Coteaux d'Epernay (where chalk converges with limestone-clay), south of Montagne de Reims (chalk), north of Montagne de Reims (chalk) and Montagne Ouest (clay-limestone/sand).

The blend comprises equal thirds Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Meunier. The wine is vinified in temperature-controlled, stainless-steel tanks and aged at least three years in the cellar — more than twice as long as the minimum time required by Champagne regulations. ​The low dosage of between 0 and 6 g/l enhances the purity and nuance of each grape variety while preserving the wine’s tension and freshness.

Clear and golden with sweet aromas of acacia honey, pear, white fruits, and fresh citrus. On the palate, a sense of place develops with a classic mineral character from the chalky Côte des Blancs slopes and the stony soils of Champagne's iconic limestone. Spicy Pinot Noir from the south of Montagne de Reims brings intensity and smooth structure to this finely chiseled wine, caressed by velvet-textured Meunier. This is a very low dosage cuvée, created in a drier style specifically ​to accompany food throughout a meal.
