Their origin story centers around Henri Macquart, pioneering founder of the Centre Vinicole de la Champagne, and Nicolas Feuillatte, a dynamic local businessman. Out of their shared passion for Champagne, a daring idea formed: create a new brand of excellence. An upstart that would knit together the tapestry of Champagne’s finest terroirs through an unrivaled network of heritage growers. Empowered by and headquartered at the Vinicole, Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte was officially founded in 1976, in the heart of the Côte des Blancs.

Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes selected in Grand Cru villages from the Côte des Blancs. It draws its slender, supremely elegant character from the high-quality, distinctive soils, gaining body and minerality from vines cultivated on chalk, the hallmark of prestigious Champagne. 2015 was the third hottest vintage since 1961. The switch between cooler nights and daytime heat was dramatic, while drought conditions and heat persisted through mid-August; fortunately, rain came and with it, lower temperatures allowing the grapes to develop evenly.

Vinified in small-capacity, temperature-controlled, stainless-steel tanks. Aged at least 8 years in the cellars. Chief Winemaker Guillaume Roffiaen adapts dosage levels to each champagne in order to enhance the flavors and aromas. The choice of reserve wine is paramount and takes into a consideration a whole range of factors, including the proportion of cru wines, harvest year, grape varieties and vinification and ageing methods, in order to preserve the intrinsic style of each cuvée.

Platinum-hued in the glass with flashes of green and a fine, creamy, lively bead thank to years of cellar age. Lingering aromas of lime blossom, acacia, and jasmine introduce pastry notes of vanilla custard. The attack exudes intense, crystalline notes of citrus rind and licorice that introduce lively notes of juniper berries and star anise. Utterly well balanced and refreshing on the finish, bringing complexity and the promise of great longevity.
