Mon Frère Wines Celebrate the Bonds of Friendship
French for “my brother,” the term mon frère represents the people with whom we share all of life’s highs, lows, and unforgettable moments, often over lots of good wine. Mon Frère wines celebrate the friendships that keep us connected and infuse our lives with joy and meaning.
Mon Frère Winery is dedicated to crafting exceptional wines of the highest quality and value from California’s rich terroir. The talented winemaking team carefully selects grapes from vineyards across the Golden State to capture the essence of California’s most prized grape varieties.
The range includes four remarkable wines: a fresh chardonnay with moderate, well-integrated oak, a vibrant sauvignon blanc with bright citrus and mineral notes, a velvety pinot noir that delivers ripe, rich fruit flavors, and a robust cabernet sauvignon that expresses concentrated, ripe fruit and firm structure while remaining smooth and approachable.
While the vineyard sources and winemaking techniques may vary by vintage, Mon Frère wines consistently over-deliver for quality and value. Made to be enjoyed among family and friends, they are, most importantly, wines that bring people closer together.

California’s Pioneering Spirit
From the Gold Rush prospectors of the mid-1800s to the Silicon Valley mavericks of the early 2000s, California has always attracted pioneers. The same holds true in the wine industry. Settlers and missionaries first planted European vines here in the 18th century, laying the foundations for future success. In 1976, Golden State winemakers shocked the world when a California chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon beat the best wines from Burgundy and Bordeaux at the Judgment of Paris. Today, California is the United States’ wine powerhouse, producing 90% of American-made wine and supplying over 60% of all wine consumed in the U.S.
Sourcing the Best Grapes
The Mon Frère winemaking team sources top-quality grapes from across some of California’s most respected regions — including Sonoma, Mendocino, Monterey, and Lodi. The exact vineyard sites may vary from vintage to vintage, as the team’s primary focus is on securing the best possible fruit.
Exceptional Varietal Wine from California
The winemaking team tailors the winemaking process to each grape variety, allowing them to produce the purest varietal expression for each wine in the Mon Frère range. All four wines — chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, pinot noir, and cabernet sauvignon — have a fresh, approachable style that centers on ripe primary fruit flavors and a smooth, pleasing mouthfeel. Oak barrels are used judiciously (or not at all, in the case of the sauvignon blanc), as to not overpower the fruit notes.
